Most of these guides started as a problem on my own desk — a phone that would not hold a charge, a TV that dropped Wi-Fi every evening, a printer that insisted it was offline while blinking happily at me. I write the version of the answer I wish I had found: shortest working fix first, honest about what it does not solve.
